They say that there always is a woman behind a great man. As a woman, I am supposed to feel proud. And I am indeed, to a certain extent… as, when deconstructing the assertion, there are a few things I need to understand and for which I have not really gotten any clear answers. For instance, who decided that this supportive person necessarily had to be a woman? Who do these devoted women have behind them to push them through when it comes to achieve their personal goals and dreams? It seems like we read in it, a sort of definition giving women a supportive mission, like a sort of second role. All right, but where is the part giving them the first one?

Now, to make it clear, I am definitely not a feminist. I though acknowledge the tremendous and courageous work that has been done and that still is being done by these associations and individuals, which has given to the woman statute the place and rights it has today. I do recognize the importance of these kind of actions, especially in some parts of the world.

However, although promoting women independence, in due respect to Mother nature who has devolved specific characteristics and differences as part of a core gender identity, I concede to men their physical superiority, their result-oriented actions, their protector statute, as well as many other specific aspects related to their masculine identity. In the same way, I recognize all the specific aspects related to the woman’ statute, beginning with their mental superiority served by various parameters, namely this motherhood predestined mission (be this mission achieved or not), their emotional ability, their global oversight capacity, their natural openness and their great relationship facility. And believe it or not, when deconstructing success stories, these capabilities might be called “soft skills”, but they are among the fundamental ones required for building success.

In the same state of mind, I recognize the rules of exception as part of nature. But in a way or another, there remains an unescapable gender complementarity and a required binomial approach of Life and Success. This approach devolves a specific role to each party, with both ones acting, leading and winning together, which means neither on behalf of, nor in the shadow of the other one.

This being said, it seems that nature gave to women this generosity making them able to naturally trust, support, coach, push ahead, help, counsel anyone else in the world … except themselves. While, if they gave themselves at least, the tenth of what they used to give others in terms of energy, time, attention, care, the evolution of the world would probably have gone a totally different way by now.

So, women, mothers, students, sisters, wives, daughters, friends, … know one thing: If you have this ability to support and to turn a simple man into a great man, there are two possible reasons to it:

1) You have mastered enough the success process, and as such, you actually are yourself shaped for success,

OR

2) You do not master any kind of success process. You just blindly believe in the person you love, giving to this person all the encouragement, energy and support you have in stock. But when decomposing this success process – which you optionally know nothing about, you will eventually find out that this is what the success fundamentally nourishes itself with.

Hence, in a way or another, this brings us back to the conclusion – which again can endlessly be debatable, that “Behind each great man there is a woman” easily becomes “Behind each success there is a woman”.

Know that you are this woman behind your success!

I will skip the scientific data stating this woman’s biological ability to lead and to manage, in order to avoid feminist sterile debate. But maybe now is the time for you to realize the important role you have, not only for the Society but for yourself.

Learn to give yourself the importance you deserve, and the rest will follow. Remember all this way you have gone through since then and give yourself this chance to show how brilliant you are. Build your own successful-woman-story with your hands, your heart, and your faith because, who knows… you may as well be the one bringing this change that the world is waiting for?

Faithfully,
